Not just the innovation at musikmesse 2017 where it comes to keyboards has hit a new low..
So what have we seen...
A new Nord Stage, that is more like a Car or mobile phone update.. A new Waldorf Synth, looking very nice.. but based on the same old technollogy under the hood A new Arturia Masterkeyboard, low end, nothing innovative at all A new Dexibell Combo Organ that sounds really Cheesy..
Where is the innovation that a market requires to survive?
None at all...

So what happened to all the innovation?
Seems it moved to the guitar camp, where one can still be innovative with the good old technollogy keyboardists have knoen for years..

And thats been so for the last 2 years... So i would have been highly surprised if there would be a tyros 6 on the Messe.. And then, how much innovation is there to be expected from Yamaha?

This is part of the reason why I try not to spend money on hardware, but rather on software.

This is part of the reason why I try not to spend money on hardware, but rather on software. Definately true... mainstage is becomming more and more important to me... (thats including VSTs) I love my Kronos... but then, compared to keyscape and omnisphere, it trails lightyears... The only thing whats still not available, is a dedicated hardware interface, with software VST host, which offers me the same thing my Kronos and Pa4x do... and then espescially where it comes to playing arranger styles, and stuff like Karma... also when i compare mainstage with the Kronos, Kronos comes with ready to play combo's each with its own drum/karma parts... but mainstage and other hosts does not come with that kind of content... there is just sounds and an interface..
