There is a new kid in town where it comes to music exhibitions and keyboards
The Musik messe is over and was so not the bringer in terms of novelties compared to previous years. There were hardly any companies on the ground and those who were there had actually nothing new to report most had only sparsely packed their newsprint bags. This year is quite different at the Superbooth, which will take place for the second time in its history and will provide more tension in the run-up, because many, even large, companies are represented and some novelties have already been announced. An overview.
Exhibitors and program
Currently, there are about 170 exhibitors with a focus on synthesizers, but also recording and production are important parts of this exhibition. 120 events (lectures, discussions, workshops) and 25 concerts are planned, including the Alec Empire from ATR, Skinnerbox, Mouse on Mars and LaBrassBanda - not everything takes place at the fair, as there is also the Ambient Jam in the Maze Club. Berlin is also the ideal location for synthesizer crazy and the appropriate trade fair. The FEZ is also an event location for history and will give the whole thing a little more flair than a dreary fair. But this is only possible because it is not a huge exhibition.
Among the exhibitors, the following companies were Listed as potential news suppliers: from Ableton, we all hope for Live 10 - maybe it happens sometime , Bitwig could have the 2.1 update, ARP, Arturia, Bastl, Elektron Will have the digital act to touch, Doepfer has new modules, Erica, Adam Audio surely brings the new boxes with, KORG, MakeNoise, MFB, Native Instruments, Pittsburgh Modular, Ploytec certainly has the aroma plug-in in it, Polivoks should also I'm not sure if this is the case with Softube, Snazzy FX, Teenage Engineering, Tegeler Audio Manufaktur, TouchKeys, Tubbotec, Tracktion with the new DAW Waveform, U-HE could have the polyphonic RePro 1 and the drum modeling plug-in, Vermona, Waldorf probably has the Quantum to play, WMD, XOR un D ZVEX Modular certainly have exciting things on the stand. Yamaha and Zoom are also there, but we do not know whether something will happen. And the there is Roland, who didnt even show at the musikmesse, they might have some of the keyboard surprises Ed Diazz predicted for 2017 at the musikmesse
