I remember a certain synth sound that I never forgot. It was from the movie "Star Trek, the Motion Picture" (1979). The link for the scene is:

the sound appears @ :50, 1:13, 1:53, 2:20, 2:27, 3:36, and lastly at 4:40. It is a metallic, bass tone with an upward pitch at the end of the note. I don't even know what synths were available back then. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
