Behringer founder Uli Behringer today announced the Behringer UB-Xa synthesizer - a modern clone of Tom Oberheim's classic Oberheim OB-Xa. Behringer officially announces that it has been decided to develop and produce an authentic OB-Xa clone, marketed under the name UB-Xa. Obviously, the market launch will take a while, because the development of the UB-Xa - as Behringer tells - is done by the way, and thus at the moment not yet determined when the instrument comes on the market. Due to its high complexity, Behringer assigned the project to the Midas team in Manchester, which developed the DeepMind12 among others. Sneak Preview: Behringer shares this video regarding the development of the upcoming Behringer UB-Xa, a modern reproduction of OB Oberhausen OB-Xa. In the video, Pete and Rob (Midas) take a look behind the scenes of their work on the new synthesizer and discuss some of the design decisions they need to consider.
