You know whats funny, despite the current analogue hype from Behringer, i do believe that Behringer might actually be the first one to release a high quallity VST based workstation...
If they really want to make it happen, they could even add a analogue box to, where PCB versions from their Behringer analogue synths of choice can be added (much like a rack in a black box). But where everything analogue could be controlled from the main workstation...
Internal core? Bitwig with full NKS support.(an NKS device with all the features NKS support, easy accessible).. and then adding midi effects (note FX in Bitwig) to replicate the things live players deam important like Karma(if steven wants to devope it) and even arranger style and feature support..
Bitwig is just the perfect program for this, and i think its the only Major DAW that would strike a deal with Behringer when they can both become better from it... all Behringer needs to do is add more content as BigWig comes with a huge soundset, and create an interface for direct comtroll from the keyboard.. Bitwig allready offers a lot of bang for the buck... the added attention from Behringer and its designer could lift it another step.
By thinking out of the box and putting the right things in the Box, Behringer could become a force to be reconned with...
