My recent discovery is Neo Soundstaion for Kontakt. It's only $50 but lots of bread and butter sounds. The files are small but all the samples sound good. When placed in Kontakt banks, patch changes are instant.

The whole thing uncompressed is 4.03 GB, whichhttp://keyszone.boards.net/post/new/116 means you can load up all the instruments and switch to any sound instantly.
